Pick a wall colour with confidence

How light, undertones and a single feature wall change a room — plus a quick way to test paint colours on your own photo.
Light changes everything
North-facing rooms get cool, even light that can make greys look flat; warm whites, sage and earthy tones keep them inviting. Sunny south-facing rooms can carry cooler blues and greens.
Start with one feature wall
If you are unsure about a bold colour, paint just the wall your eye lands on first — often behind the sofa, bed or dining table. Deep greens and terracottas look rich without overwhelming the space.
Try it on your photo first
DifferView lets you preview real paint colours on the walls of your room photo and choose which wall to paint. Screen colours are only a guide, so always check a physical sample before buying.
